don't worry, it wasn't real on your end.
you were punishing him for being a massive douchebag.
which i guess people neglected to mention to present eridan.
it changes for different locations, but that's it.
like how it worked in the games basically.
no, you can't turn it off.
best you can do is learn to tune it out or have headphones in at all times.
