I am the only troll I knew on Alternia for whom the sun was not only not dangerous, but invigorating. In retrospect this was probably because I was destined to become an unholy creature of the day.

For other trolls the sun could cause horrible injury and blindness and maybe even death. The Alternian sun was very bright and we are not a species capable of handling that.
