[You know what happens when you give two curious teenagers time to formulate an idea? Trouble.

Lots of it. The video shows Ilex Forest and the back of one Dave Strider as he whistles sharply to the Cranidos beside him. He's not alone there's a Jane Crocker to his left with another Cranidos. There's a thud as their pokemon hit the trees with their heads. At first nothing happens then an angry looking pineco drops out onto the grass.

Dave blinks.] What the tap dancing christ?

Oh! It's a Pokemon we haven't seen before! Let's see.. [She's fishing out her gear while approaching the Pineco, as it's actually really difficult to tell if it's expression is angry or not; it always looks a bit mad, especially compared to the dex image. The sudden glowing is a concern though, that has Jane taking a step back.] What in the --

[Boom. It knocks both of them back, sending Dave butt over heels to slam his back into the grass. The explosion shakes the trees and a ring of Pineco hit the ground. All at once they start to glow and he surges up covering the pokemon and Jane with a curse before the screen goes white.]

I.. yes, we're both all right. I am going to say that headbutting trees is something to do only when you have a full team out, ready for an onslaught of tree bombs named Pineco.

...Are the Pineco all right, for that matter?

[ did they legit just blow themselves up ]

Yes, they are all only knocked out. How that works, I'm not really sure.

Pokemon are really...strange.

Well, as long as you're all fine, that's good. What made you decide to try that, though?

It was Dave's idea of a good time, and it was rather fun until the Pineco dropped. We were looking for new Pokemon that were hiding in the trees!

Did you find any that didn't explode?

Yes! A purple monkey with a hand for a tail, for instance. It's called an Aipom.

Oh, did you catch it?

Mhm! I sent it to Jake actually.

Oh, I'm sure he'll enjoy it!

That was Pineco in big numbers going 'get out'. We're fine. Bit sore but no more headbutting trees for a bit.

It looks like you two are having quite the adventure, anyway.

[ Since they've both replied to her, she's perfectly fine with flashing a smile. A little danger is to be expected, and so long as they're in one piece... ]

No headbutting trees: check.

[He nods to her and cracks his back.] Yeah or the douche bombs will drop down to give you a howdy.

You're travelling together now, though?

Yeah. Staying in town until we both get badges then we'll head out. Gives us time to build up. Spent a lot of time researching what I can get my hands on.

[timelymaid]

That's great! That you both have company, I mean. Sollux is actually staying with us for now, so that's...I think we're down to five groups? Well, six.

It will be back down to five when we head over to Kanto to travel with Bro and mom. Then stay there when John wakes up. I'll swing back and see how he is. Wait there's seven now, Jade's traveling on her own.

[timelymaid]

Oh, is she? I thought she was with John and Rose! [ Time to update that list of where the heck everyone is. ]

There sure are a lot of us.

She might still be with them. I didn't check, just left when Rose said to cut loose and she'd catch up.

Have you caught anything interesting recently?

Jane gave me a Turtwig. I'm waiting on a couple eggs to hatch. Charmander and Trapinch. The later becomes a dragon. How about you?

Jane sent me a Carnivine! Egg-wise, I've got a Cubone and a Scyther from the Centre, recently.

Sweet. Scyther is cool, that's what Bro had last time. And Cubone...has the skull on its head, right?

[timelymaid]

Right! According to the pokedex, that skull belonged to Cubone's mother, but I don't see how that's the case if it hatches from an egg with the skull intact.
