[Everyone is greeted by the sound of hoofbeats today, clippity clop before things cut to video as Dave and Lady B his Rapidash exit Whitney's gym. You can distantly hear Whitney claiming it was all unfair as Nakadile walks out with him. Dave and croc fist bump and he keeps walking.]

So that's two down for this region. Probably going to gear up for the next stuff after this. But first, judging from the network mystery eggs we found at christmas are all weird.

[He directs the camera to his Zorua that's black and blue. The mischievous thing is bounding from spot to spot, hopping up on bigger things with one goal in mind.

Seconds later this goal becomes real as Dave holds his arms out and gets a bundle of fuzz in it.] Haven't ever heard of this before so, give some deets on this.

[He pauses to lightly noggie his new bro before continuing.] And what exactly is all the dragons and where. I'm on a mission.

Yeah, I know that. I meant the coloring switch. [He studies the other fox. That's three he's seen with the addition of John's and the other guy's who has a crush on him.] Mine doesn't have a name yet, he hatched like...a hour ago.

When they have the color swap, they're called "shiny" Pokemon. Incredibly rare, it's impossible to find one in the wild. [While Vanitas is talking, his Zoroark has stepped back enough to be out of sight and transformed into his trainer, making... well. Stupid faces. Pushing his cheeks together to make fish lips, all that.]

I'd say anything reflecting his personality is the way to start. You can always change their name later if neither you or him care for it much.

[Dave watches this with a flat expression. Clue him in? Not clue him in. Lightly tap the recording app on his gear so this is kept forever? The later he does and nods.] What can these guys do, I mean besides change shape.

[He gets popped in the chest by his Zorua when he says he.]Wait hold up.

[He looks down and the fox looks back up.] Got a problem dude? [Another whack.] Bro? [Pop. Okay, okay he gets it.]

They're dark types, so fighting dirty. It seems to be a dark type trait, with moves like sucker punch and foul play. [The Zoroark laughs silently behind and pulls on his cheeks now, blowing a mute raspberry. Vanitas is mostly none the wiser, quirking an eyebrow at the Zorua.

Looking past the screen then for a moment, Vanitas crouches down and stands back up with a gold colored Charmander in his arm, where the little Pokemon happily spits some small flames in the air.]

Don't light anything on fire, Goldie.

Hey dark types are the shit for things like that. It makes fights interesting to be able to whip our Embargo or lock down on someone's moves. I used dark as my finisher against Whitney. [He scratches behind his Zorua's ear, and it leans to one side clearly enjoying the attention. Dave spoils his pokemon with a lot of little things like this. They all expect some petting etc.]

Did you have to stay and wait for her to finish crying like way too many others? [Since Rue has gotten away with making faces for so long, he changes shape again; this time, it's Karkat's appearance making kissy faces now. Goldie looks at those appreciative scratches going on for the Zorua though and sits up in Vanitas' arm, leaning in now as if she could get those too from Dave.]

She's such a crybaby, I don't know how she's still a leader after all those losses.

Yeah, I had to wait. I mean, couldn't just leave her like that. Even if she doesn't handle loss all that well, girls crying is a no leave for a bit thing. Gotta admit even if she doesn't handle it well at least she tries.

[Oh come on, Rue. Really? Dave gives the pokemon a look and sighs at him.]

Anyway, Zorua take on whatever appearance they want to? When do I get to deal with this happy nightmare.

She's gotten so much free shit out of people just for refusing to hand over the badge while she's crying. [The look being passed behind him, Vanitas turns his head before scowling sharply at the latest kissy face. Rue jerks at being caught and runs off without dropping the illusion.]

Whenever they learn to do it without their tail showing. [He's moving, taking the gear with him and hissing.] Rue, get back here you little shit! Drop that illusion and don't go hide behind him!

So she's manipulative. Ok. Probably why she got unnerved when I didn't do anything but sit down to wait and put on headphones.

You'll get shit like this from the dragon leader in Blackthorn too, only she's more pissed off that you beat her and runs off insulted.

[Rounding a corner, Vanitas is setting his gold Charmander down now to free up a hand and catch the pair of hips trying to wiggle behind the couch.] Rue, seriously, you're too big for this bullshit.

[The pokemon does finally transform back to his natural state, but simply remains a whining blob in his trainers arm.]

Seriously? How many pissy leaders do we have to deal with. Ugh. She can try to run off I've got Lady B and she can kick it into high gear. [He looks down at his tricky little bastard and doesn't even want to imagine the trouble ahead. But now he can't stop thinking about it.] First time she turns into my sister, I can just see it ending bad.

Just those two from what I've encountered; I might only have four badges to go in Kanto, but I could be proven wrong. [Chuckling, Vani quirks an eyebrow.] Someone you should fear? Or would she join in the fact that Zorua like to be little trolls?

It's a toss up. Mostly she'd just be grinning over me in stereo when I woke up a nap with her notepad of 'My brother's issues' and I'm just not down with that.

[Giving Dave a look over, Vanitas thinks, but still asks.] Who is your sister? Or I guess I should ask, is she here?

She's here yeah. Been here for going on two something years now. [Connect the dots here.]

[Still thinking, but it's hard not to know someone who hasn't been here that long.] Does her name happen to be Rose Lalonde? She told me about her brother who wasn't here at the time; said he enjoys making fun of shitty movies.
