[You know what happens when you give two curious teenagers time to formulate an idea? Trouble.

Lots of it. The video shows Ilex Forest and the back of one Dave Strider as he whistles sharply to the Cranidos beside him. He's not alone there's a Jane Crocker to his left with another Cranidos. There's a thud as their pokemon hit the trees with their heads. At first nothing happens then an angry looking pineco drops out onto the grass.

Dave blinks.] What the tap dancing christ?

Oh! It's a Pokemon we haven't seen before! Let's see.. [She's fishing out her gear while approaching the Pineco, as it's actually really difficult to tell if it's expression is angry or not; it always looks a bit mad, especially compared to the dex image. The sudden glowing is a concern though, that has Jane taking a step back.] What in the --

[Boom. It knocks both of them back, sending Dave butt over heels to slam his back into the grass. The explosion shakes the trees and a ring of Pineco hit the ground. All at once they start to glow and he surges up covering the pokemon and Jane with a curse before the screen goes white.]

A-are you alright?!

For the most part! No one is hurt outside of some bruising and ringing ears. I'm just.. I didn't know there were bloody tree bombs hiding out in the woods!

[Well as long as they're not dead.] You should be more careful.

[There's always time for scolding!]

It did seem rather excessive for a defensive reaction.

Did they die?

Sorry, we didn't really expect them at all. It is certainly overly excessive! [Looking about for a moment, she turns the gear to show all of those Pineco in their knocked out states.] No, it looks like they simply all passed out after doing all that.

They can explode...but not die?

I don't get it either. On one hand, Pokemon. On the other, explosions that they actually cause that knock them out by being caught in the blast.. [Lifts her hands and just shrugs.]

[kanaya sighs.]

Sometimes this place makes even less sense than Sgrub did.

I wish I could just blame this one on time shenanigans. We'll have to call it Johto shenanigans instead.

[Kanaya is quiet for a moment.]

Pokenanigans.

[.... That prompts a giggle.] Perfect. Pokenanigans.

Now we simply have to encourage others to use the word.

It shouldn't be too difficult. Perhaps Dave can use it in a rap and spread it around.

Because pokemon live in the trees and I was curious what was up there. Now I know, mystery solved.

Although I question the basic logic of your plan. If something came along and rammed you out of your house, you'd probably attack them too.

I'd ask what the fuck was their problem first but, I see your point. Part of my reasoning was questioning why when I kicked a tree it didn't shake. Made no sense not that I go around kicking trees mind you.

I was fighting poke logic versus real life.

From what I can tell, fighting poke logic accomplishes little here. This world doesn't seem to care if it makes no sense.

It's a lot like SGrub in that respect.

Only Sburb/Sgrub had more mystical destiny shit everywhere. Stuff we'll be dealing with when we get to the other session, I guess.

Provided we don't spend the rest of our lives raising pokebeats and being surrounded by trees full of exploding Flora.

I really wouldn't mind it if we did. Beats racing around while we're doing a lot of dying.

It is nice here, I suppose, but I would prefer being a troll again. Even as a vampire one.
