[You know what happens when you give two curious teenagers time to formulate an idea? Trouble.

Lots of it. The video shows Ilex Forest and the back of one Dave Strider as he whistles sharply to the Cranidos beside him. He's not alone there's a Jane Crocker to his left with another Cranidos. There's a thud as their pokemon hit the trees with their heads. At first nothing happens then an angry looking pineco drops out onto the grass.

Dave blinks.] What the tap dancing christ?

Oh! It's a Pokemon we haven't seen before! Let's see.. [She's fishing out her gear while approaching the Pineco, as it's actually really difficult to tell if it's expression is angry or not; it always looks a bit mad, especially compared to the dex image. The sudden glowing is a concern though, that has Jane taking a step back.] What in the --

[Boom. It knocks both of them back, sending Dave butt over heels to slam his back into the grass. The explosion shakes the trees and a ring of Pineco hit the ground. All at once they start to glow and he surges up covering the pokemon and Jane with a curse before the screen goes white.]

I guess it's just something to get used to. [ thankfully he's seen a few flaming animals around already so he's not too alarmed. ]

Yep and it will only get crazier.

Like tree bombs falling on people isn't crazy enough?

Tree bombs are the tip of the ice berg. [Said as his amparos wanders by.]

[ ...is that thing made of rubber? Joonhee squints at it a bit. it's probably not the strangest pokémon he's seen but it's hard to compare the levels of strange. like comparing a durian to a dragon fruit. ]

Have you been here a long time? [ he wonders if he'll manage the same level of nonchalance at some point

I've been here for months. [And grew up surrounded by puppets and his life after that was even crazier than this place.] For all their weird...Biggie Smalls there a great example, it's kinda cool to see them change forms.

Biggie Smalls? [ ...he's not sure if that's the name of the pokémon's species or that specific one's name. ]

Ah, you're right. As confusing as everything is it's kind of exciting, I guess. [ he sounds so sure and looks so excited, right? probably more confused. ]

Nah, you're not keeping me from anything. I just got tree bombed in the face, remember?

...is that how it works? [ tree bombed and then just hanging around? then again it really seems pretty mild considering something exploded. ]

Seems that way. It could have been a lot worse but, I'm just battered and bruised up a bit. [He moves pretty stiffly but there's no blood.]

I guess that's why it's okay for ten year old kids to travel alone. [ this world isn't quite as dangerous as he thought if that's all an explosion does. ]

Probably. Video game logic never makes much sense when held up to the mirror.

It's...different. [ at least he doesn't have to worry about getting bombed by pine cones too much? ]

I should probably be thankful. [ or else he isn't sure he'd survive the traveling and battling. his sanity feels like it's taking a hit though. ]

Why? Because everything here can't kill you?

Yeah, it's kind of reassuring. I'd like to go home in one piece whenever that might be.

I think you go home in one piece regardless of what happens here. Though apparently you can't die here.

I did not know that. [ it's actually a huge relief. at least he doesn't have to worry as much about mauling accidents with giant dragons and such. ]

It's weird and sounds pretty crazy but I'm kind of glad.

Why would it be weird to be glad? No one wants to die, or, be in some whacked out place where you could be killed. Imagine the tombstones. Crushed by fatass snorlax.

It seems kind of unnatural though. I mean I'll still be careful, it's nice to know that if I mess up I'll still be able to get home in one piece. But even though everything is kind of cute and cheerful here...it's kind of...

Not frightening but. It's not comfortable.
