[First thing you see? A Duskull is peering into the pokegear. It's red eyes bore into the screen before someone speaks up.]

Hey Slim Shady! Didn't I tell you to stop staring at that? It's like you don't even listen anymore. I'm the dad in this situation and I keep telling you to go the fuck to bed.

[The ghost drifts away from the screen and gives good view of the approaching Dave Strider apple in hand. His hair is an artful mess that really needs cut before it gets any worse. Pacing along beside him is Lady B who is now a Rapiddash. He looks to the flaming horse and sighs.]

Can't take him anywhere I swear. It's like he's looking around for dinner. [Slim Shady the Duskull drifts over to Dave who sets his hands on his hips, opens his mouth and manages to get out 'you fed an hour ago- before he's bowled over by a Krookodile. The apple goes flying.]

Nak nak nak nak nak!

[Nakadile gets the apple, and cuts it in half, sharing it with Lady B. The feed is cut by Dratini.]

[He would have no idea what to think about that. Dave slides on his shades, and fixes his hair.]

[He pauses in mid reach for the apple remains and Nakadile, cuts his own half of the apple in half to offer part of Dave.]

It's a family thing. You know? Plus my best bro gave me these. Means a lot to me and I like'em.

It sounds like I need to start getting prankster lessons from Jane or John for self-defense.

[Hopefully, it doesn't mix with those irony lessons. God, ironic pranking....]

That makes sense. Ben Stiller himself gave the you in my universe his sunglasses, so I was curious, especially given that you have a pretty cool eye color.

[Ironic pranking is the best ok. His eyebrows raise about Ben and then go even higher at the compliment. He has no clue what to say to that.] ...thanks.

Jane Crocker. She'd be John's Nanna in your universe, I believe. She's sort of an amateur sleuth coupled with a prankster.

I see. Ok, that's the last name I didn't know. Wait. Uh, what's Rose's mom's name?

Her name is Roxy Lalonde. You remind me a bit of her, actually.

Really. What's she like? [He might sound more than a bit curious here. This is his mom, he wants to know things about her.]

[Jake can understand that.]

She's a brilliant hacker and coder, and honestly brilliant in general, despite the fact that she's constantly inebriated. Roxy can be a bit of a flirt, but she means well. She also likes to tease and sometimes she can be really blunt. In general, she's a really great friend to have.

Nothing in particular jumps out at me, other than maybe the fact that Dirk's a wiz at building robots and other mechanical things.

He isn't super into puppets is he? Like maybe has a certain one around that has soulless looking googly eyes and a wide vacant smile you can feel devouring your soul?

He makes puppets, yes, and he has something called Lil Cal, if that's what you're referring to. I doubt any of that will make it to Johto, though.

Yeah, Lil Cal didn't come with Bro so...maybe it won't come with him either.

Sounds sort of like Bro. I mean, I know they're the same person just not raised the same. But Bro and his hat are mostly always together.

Heheh, I'm sad to say that Dirk isn't particularly married to his hats, yet. He claims they mess with the look he's trying to pull at this point. This doesn't seem to stop him from having an orange baseball cap imprinted on his shirt, though.

Sure. Well, you probably gathered that I grew up on an island similar to Jade's. The only real difference is that mine's got quite a monster problem, so it's not exactly the safest place in the world. Um...I very much love movies, and I haven't found one that I didn't like yet. Exploration and adventures are other things I enjoy doing, especially if they involve ruins or tombs. I tinker a bit, but you won't catch me boasting arrogantly about it. Dirk's got more skill at it than I do.

Did you have some devil beast keeping watch on you too? Jade had a dog that I swear I would not have been able to stand. She has the deets on that.

No, I didn't have a Bec growing up. I think I would've liked that, though. We've got a cat that's something similar to him, but that one does its own thing whenever it so pleases.

So you had some cat that had all this godlike power.
