[You know what happens when you give two curious teenagers time to formulate an idea? Trouble.

Lots of it. The video shows Ilex Forest and the back of one Dave Strider as he whistles sharply to the Cranidos beside him. He's not alone there's a Jane Crocker to his left with another Cranidos. There's a thud as their pokemon hit the trees with their heads. At first nothing happens then an angry looking pineco drops out onto the grass.

Dave blinks.] What the tap dancing christ?

Oh! It's a Pokemon we haven't seen before! Let's see.. [She's fishing out her gear while approaching the Pineco, as it's actually really difficult to tell if it's expression is angry or not; it always looks a bit mad, especially compared to the dex image. The sudden glowing is a concern though, that has Jane taking a step back.] What in the --

[Boom. It knocks both of them back, sending Dave butt over heels to slam his back into the grass. The explosion shakes the trees and a ring of Pineco hit the ground. All at once they start to glow and he surges up covering the pokemon and Jane with a curse before the screen goes white.]

[It may not be five seconds, but Jane has eventually fished out her gear to help field the concerned questions once they've found that Dave's gear recorded that crazy bit.]

We're fine, Bro. A little bruised, but that's it. [She's speaking soft, still recovering from the entire experience; it scared her. Jane wasn't used to things blowing up like that, least of all anymore now that this place didn't have the assassins, and then Dave leaping to guard her had her afraid of how hurt he would get.]

[When he said five minutes, he meant it. So when he finally does receive an answer, he's already been preparing to leave. How he'd get there in anything resembling a timely manner is anyone's guess, but he would've found a goddamn way. The relief he feels when he does get an answer is immense. It also irritates him because he'd been worried for goddamn nothing.]

[Because he needs to see it to really believe it.

[She has no hesitations in flipping the feed on, even if she looks a little worse for wear. Jane is the one that looks overall fine, if not like she's aching and maybe looks like she had been crying a bit, with how she's trying to subtly wipe her nose on some kleenex.]

[Bro, meanwhile, is just going to stick to voice for the moment, because of the fact it's very obvious he had been preparing to head there and that he probably still looks on edge.

When he sees Jane, he feels better, despite the fact she looks alright, for the most part.]

Nothing's broken? Apply a burn heal if you need to. Do you feel dizzy? You both need to make sure you don't have a concussion or anything. Head injuries are fucking deceptive.

Nothing feels broken, all limbs are in working order. Heading to the Center and getting a professional check over is definitely in order though. [Jane doesn't feel dizzy, but then again, she hasn't quite gotten up to her feet yet; the thought makes her hesitate when it comes time to get up.]

Yeah, it is. Do that as soon as possible.

[He can tell she's hesitating on getting up, and that has him raising eyebrows. Though if she says everything's fine, he'll take her word for it and not push the issue.]

To have a barricade at ready to leap behind if we go headbutting trees again. That, or to avoid Pineco at any cost. [After a beat, she continues.] And that Dave is crazy, jumping back in range of the explosions just to cover me. [It's not said with anger though, just a sort of disbelieving sigh; Still can't believe he did that.]

Well I was going to say not to headbutt trees willy fucking nilly, but I guess that works just the same.

[Striders. They're self sacrificing like that, and it'd be a lie to say he isn't proud of Dave for doing that, even if it was reckless and stupid.]

He's pretty damn crazy, but then again he is a Strider. He takes after me in that department.

You Striders are all going to give me heart attacks if you do things like that where or hear about them. [Narrowing her eyes and giving a disapproving look, the scolding is only half-hearted. Shifting, Jane makes an attempt to get up, Jenny the Ditto already transforming beside her into a Graveler just to have the extra arms for support.]

You may have a heart attack, but at least you're safe from whatever else we might be protecting you from, right?

[He sounds slightly amused, finally beginning to calm down a bit more, though tensing when she tries getting up.]

Careful, you're probably gonna be sore a while.

Oh but of course, since you can just run me to a hospital for that problem, right? [Puffs out a sigh about that, though his tone still sounding so tense has her trying to give a reassuring smile, dusting her arms off.]

Probably, but I'm more concerned about Dave. He took the brunt of it, after all.

Exactly. I can't do that if you get fucking exploded from headbutting trees and pissing off pine cones.

[He just lets out a sigh.]

Yeah, I know. And it's gonna be your job to make sure he ain't too hurt, since I'm not there to do it. He deserves a cake for this, by the way. You should make him one.

Hoohoo, I already planned on baking him something. Perhaps that rainbow cake idea, or maybe apple pie again. He really scarfed down the last one I made.

So I've started learning, after making fresh apple juice for breakfast! [But she sounds better, smiling on her end even if he can't see it.] Alright, alright, the rainbow cake is still yours.

[That comes with a laugh and she's flushing a little on her end, shaking her head quicker, forgetting again that he can't see a damn thing.] What? No I'm not! I just thought it would taste better made fresh instead of out of the bottle!

[She doesn't see the smile, but she hears it in that word and it makes her giggle gently.] We really need an occasion for that cake, you know.
