[Video] Backdated to Monday.

[The gear clicks on to show someone’s shoes at first. They’re black with steel over the front and one of them taps in a slow rhythm.]

-I’d have been cool with like white, or blue, or some funky color that had to do with the rainbow but attacking my head with neon? Really??

[The view swings up to the familiar rounded shades and flat expression of one Dave Strider. There’s just one noteable difference. His hair is neon pink. There is blaring and then there’s eye searing and from the way he huffs and offers the gear to someone else, he’s not impressed. ~~He will get you back for this.~~]

[The new face on the screen doesn’t seem any more excited about this, neon green hair falling into her eyes and framing her face. Rose wears an equally flat expression and her eyes glance sideways at her brother.]

Pink isn’t that bad. I mean, compare it to this green? I don’t even have anything that matches this. I’m going to be a walking color clash until I manage to purchase some new clothes. Pink goes well with red though, so I don’t see what you’re complaining about.

Except that I do. I can’t believe this.

[She knows exactly who is responsible. After all, who else could it possibly be? Who was close enough to the two of them to manage to prank them both on the same day? Who would even dare to prank the Strilondes like this other than John?

No one, that’s right.

Rose sets the gear back, so that both siblings can be admired in all of their neon glory.]

[Dave sighs and cards a hand through his hair but, that foot hasn’t stopped tapping. Oh he knows exactly who is responsible. There will be prank war over this. Suddenly, his whole demeanor shifts and he smirks. He covers the gear, but you hear one last thing from him.]

I -- Oh my goodness. [John got them good. Jane can't laugh, no, she can't or she'll get pulled into this craziness, but oh my god both colors are perfect and at the same time, terrible. No, no, she can't laugh, but she is holding her hand over her mouth and struggling to keep the giggles down because oh my god.]

[John was, of course, long gone by the time the two got out of their respective showers. Gone and good luck finding him until he's ready to be found, guys. He'll just be over here, in an undisclosed location, cackling to himself for a few hours. This laugh can probably be heard all the way over in parts of Johto.]

jeez guys, would it have killed you to give us a warning to turn down the contrast before watching this?
i think you may have just blinded me even more than i already was!
now i will have to go to the optometrist all over again, thanks.

[Kanaya apparently didn't mean to hit her video button when she did, because the first fifteen seconds or so of the feed are her carefully considering the twins, trying to decide what she thinks of the unexpected hue change.]

[Eventually she reaches up to tug a few strands of her own black hair in front of her face, frowning at the color faintly before apparently noticing the transmit button on the gear and quickly shoving her hair back and offering the screen a smile.]

You both actually look quite lovely.

...is it the wash out kind? [ he's not laughing but there's a bit of an amused eyebrow quirk going on. ]

[Mom had just taken a sip of her drink when she sees the hair colors and flat expressions of her babies. She falls right out of her chair, somehow managing to not spill a single drop of her drink and setting it neatly on a nearby table. Either Mom is a very talented woman or she's exceedingly lucky.

Currently, she's making a combination of choking sounds and uncontrollable laughter. She's not even attempting to cover up her laughter. Best Mom of the Year Award goes to...!]

[ Someone got most of her giggles out of the way before she replied. The amusement is still very present in her expression, though, and she isn't doing much to keep it under wraps, if anything at all. ]

Would the two of you like me to send you some matching clothes from Goldenrod's Department Store? I'm in the area. All I need are your sizes and I'm sure I can find something to your liking. It wouldn't be any trouble at all.

[ Rarity's wringing her hands. ] Well, ah... pink, I can work with. Goodness knows I've done so plenty of times, and it can be quite a soothing color, but green...
